Stop the Hunger Games!
If nobody watches the Hunger Games, it could be stoped! It would be a stupid idea to do this event if nobody is watching it!So show the capitol that we have an election to live in a better world!Show the capitol who you are with your action!
HOW FAR AWAY IS OUR MEDIA WORLD FROM THE WORLD OF THE HUNGER GAMES?
We also have reality shows like in Panem. We show them because it´s dramatical, exciting , entertaining and maybe funny. But in our life the reality shows don´t show people fighting for her or his life! They show castings for talents like "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" or "Das Supertalent" and not people, who are dying in the arena. But in Panem this is absolutly normal to see people fighting in arenas and kill each other. The reality show "The Hunger Games" is one example for this statement. I think that our reality shows are totally different than the reality shows in Panem because in our reality shows people aren´t killing other people. They only make people ridiculous or show people with specially talents. But in Panem they let humans fight in arenas and let them kill eachother! This is inhumane and brutal, so I am totally against it.
This is to all the people living in the Capitol:
Do you know what it
feels like to lose a beloved friend?
Can you imagine the
pain you have to suffer from when you lose your own child, sister or
brother?
What it is like to
have to watch them fight for their life without being able to help
them?
No?
Well, but we can.
We- the people living in the districts – have to fear these feelings every year.
It is horrible
enough to lose a friend but if you also have to watch him dying -
that is even more dreadful.
We have to see how our family members
turn into killers – how they kill and get killed.
Every year we will
be reminded of their death and will never be able to let them go.
We cannot do
anything against that.
But you can!
Unlike us you are
not forced to watch the hunger games!
It is your own choice to watch the games and that is why you are one of the kids' murderers!
If you did not
watch the games, they would not exist anymore.
If you helped us to protect the life of a little child, he might grow up and live a normal life.
If you raised your
voice against President Snow, he would not be able to oppress us this
way any longer.
Every little step can change something!
Therefore, I –
the girl on fire – beg you:
Stop watching the
huger games and start being good human!

The Hunger Games - A reality TV show?
We all know these speculiar TV shows called reality TV shows and, seriously, you'd never admit that you're
looking this stuff. But if wouldn't like The Hunger Games, you wouldn't stay here on this
blog. So, what do you think? Can you compare The Hunger Games themselves to a modern
reality TV show? Think about shows like "Big Brother" or "Supertalent". I think, there are a lot
of parallels in it. I mean, the only thing that is different is the fact that the Hunger Games are
based on human lives and if you are in it, you have to win or die and our reality TV shows can
be joined voluntarily.
What do you think about that? I'm interested in your ideas and opinions.
I would be happy if you'd leave a comment.

How far away is our media world from the world of the Hunger Games?
The Games were made to entertain the people, just like our reality TV shows. I know, the first thing you might think now is: "I´ve never watched stupid things like that!", but if you´re honest to yourself, the most of you will realize that that isn´t true. Things like the jungle camp or casting shows like the X factor are as normal to us as the news and nobody would ever think about comparing those shows with the Hunger Games. But isn´t it in some case the same? I mean, the jungle camp for example is also a 24/7 live broadcast, and people get forced to do something they don´t want to do, they get money when they win and it´s a very successful TV format. So why does everybody think it is so unpossible that something like this could happen in our world?? It did before, with the gladiators, and who can say that there won´t be a increase and things like the jungle camp wll be boring someday?? Of course, I don´t really think that this will happen in countries like Germany or the USA, but in countries were people have to suffer from hunger and don´t know how to stay alive....Who knows what will happen??
I´m curious to hear your opinion about that!
Looking forward to hearing from you, CD.
Help us!
People in the Capitol,
You must change something!
I know for you the Hunger Games is just a nice way to be entertained and you don't think about what happens, but you must have in mind that we are humans too. We die for your entertainment! And what you even do not notice is that this bloody game is just for putting us under control. How would you feel if you or your children must go into the arena. You would think that it's horrible! So change something. Don't let Snow do whatever he wants. Change the rules, show that you're not just silly rich people, show that you have a heart and that you don't agree with the dead of the tributes.
HELP US!
Katniss, The girl on fire.
THE POWER OF THE MEDIA
Let’s face
it. Aren’t we all a little bit pleasure-seaking? It satisfies us however other
people are being exposed or expose theirselves, how they live their lives. We
want to know how they handle sometimes ridiculous, sometimes serious issues.
What do they do in their free time, what jobs do they have and how’s their
family situation? Are they single, divorced, famous, beautiful, ugly, happy? We
want to know everything about anyboy.
In reality
shows we bet on people to win, we vote for them according to how far they go,
how much they can stand no matter how absurd, risible, stupid or unscalable the
task they have to manage is.
So how far away is our media world from the one in the Hunger Games? What differs us from the audience and the people there?
To answer
this questions, I would like to compare the “Hunger Games” with “I’m a celeb,
get me out of here!”.
- The tributes/candidates
Junglecamp
- 10 candidates
- celebrities who volunteer for
the show (can give up at all times by saying "I'm a celeb, get me out of here")
- 18+
Hunger Games
- 24 tributes
- unvoluntarily chosen (volunteering
possible)
- some trained their whole lifes
for this challenge (secretly), some thrown into the arena completely
unprepared
- aged between 12-18
- The challenge
Junglecamp
- collect stars to get food and
luxury goods
- convince the audience to vote for your win by managing disgusting and dangerous tasks
Hunger Games
- convince the sponsors to get
you necessary goods like medicine, food, water etc.
- kill your opponents to be the
last standing tribute for winning the Games
- The prize
Junglecamp
- people get payed for their
participation
- they get a bonus if they win
- (extra) publicity
Hunger Games
- improvement of their living
conditions
- money, fame, honor
- no more worries
- The intention of the show
Junglecamp
- entertainment
- amusement
Hunger
Games
- reminder of the Capitols power
- keep the people in the Capitol satisfied by entertaining them
- keep the district people under
control (they can’t do anything against the governments decisions)
- punish the residents for their
uprisings (things that happended long before they were even born)
- The price
Junglecamp
- loss of privacy
- reputation (because the show is
intellectually undemanding)
- dignity
Hunger Games
- psychic trauma
- emotional distress
- life
If you read
the above comparisons you become aware of how much we have in common with the
people in Panem. We accept the violation of other peoples minds and lives just
to be entertained. We make them do things they don’t want to do.
“We are different: We don’t force people to
kill each other! People volunteer for going to the junglecamp to earn money and
publicity!”
So don’t
some of the kids volunteer? They sign up for tesserae to facilitate their
families a better life, accepting that their names will be in the reapingbox
more often and the chance of being chosen increases. They try to win in the arena
to make a better life for their loved ones possible. It’s their intention to
improve the image of their family in their district and whole Panem, not mainly
but in some kind. Like the people in the junglecamp they wanna earn something,
not lose.
The biggest
differences between the two shows are that the candidates in the camp are
adults. who are there by choice, not kids, who are chosen without their
acceptance, like the tributes in the Hunger Games.
But how
long does it take until the attraction of todays tv shows dwindles away, until
someone comes up with the idea to force people to do things like this in
punishment? For example, that criminals have to fight against each other until
death and the winner regains his freedom and independence. Just for entertainment.
Live. 24 hours, 7 days a week. Will we watch?
How far
will people go to be entertained, to forget their own problems, to flee from
reality?
Will they
be able to distinguish reality from the illusory world anymore?
And who
will be untroubled by this shows, no matter whether as spectator or candidate?
We will
know soon.
Let me know
what you think about this comparison and how far people will go,

Stop watching the Hunger Games!
Do you think it is funny to watch us dying in the arena?
Don't you feel bad if you see bodys covered in blood on the screen?
Do you think it is good entertainment to see other people dying of hunger?
How do feel, knowing you support all these things by watching them?
STOP IT!
Or don't you feel resposible for all these things happening?
Maybe it's only entertainment for you, but we loose our friends!
Families get split up!
Can't you imagine how we feel by doing all these things just for "fun"?
So please:

From gladiators through reality TV to the Hunger Games - old ideas dressed in new clothes?
If you compare the Gladiator Games with the Hunger Games you will find many similarities .
Firstly there is the idea that only one person can survive and that the victor gets a lot of money. Both take place in an arena and the tributes and gladiators are chosen involuntarily. They have to fight with wild animals like lions or muttations and all the weapons, for example spears or swords, can be found in the arena. The aim of both is to entertain the people by watching other people kill each other.
So the whole idea of the Hunger Games is the same as the Gladiator Games but dressed in new clothes.
In our reality TV shows you can also find some similarities with the Gladiator Games. There is just one victor who gets a lot of money and glory. All these shows are just for entertaining the audience and sometimes they are only interested in it when they see people suffer.
To sum up, I would say that in every age there is the same basic idea of how to entertain the audience and sometimes these ideas are not very human.

Why are you watching the HUNGER GAMES?
You watching the Hunger Games because it`s funny and amazing when children fight about their life? No, that isn`t funny!!
When one of your children fight in the arena about their life, maybe you can understand us in the Districts to begin a rebellion. But do you think about that? No, I think so. Because when you thought about that, you understand more and don`t watching the Hunger Games!
Demonstrate against the savage games!
Don`t look only!
Do something against it!
Begin and many people will follow you!
You can change the government!

From gladiators through reality TV to "The Hunger Games" - old ideas in new clothes?
What would you say at first? "We are better than the people from the Capitol, because we don't force people to kill each other“?
Well,
then I would advise
you to read this post.
Starting
with the Gladiators I’d like to mention that in the time of the Old Rom people
hadn’t had much tasks to do. Beside political issues and historical writing there
was nothing else to do for the citizens.
Also just a small part of the population was able to read and write and
political issues weren’t all the time.
So they
had to get a different task to do. Therefore they trained prisoners of war to
gladiators. These gladiators fought in arenas against each other until one
died.
They were
actually very public, even the best just survived maximal three years. Anyway
these guys grained much reward and earned a lot of money.
Here you
can see a connection to the Hunger Games. In the book are also fighters, with
are in an arena and have to kill each other until just one survived.
So the
past and the future is very violent and bloody.
And today? Do you think today
we aren’t violent? Well, let’s see!
Fist I
want to repeat the facts that makes the Hunger Games:
- people are poor and don’t have much entertainment
- 24 kids have to be tributes (there can be volunteers, but this actually doesn’t do anyone)
- they fight in an arena against each other until just one is left
- the winner gets rewards, like money and food and is very public
In these
four points you can see that there weren’t much difference between gladiators and
the Hunger Games.
Today we
have many ways to get entertained. The internet, cinemas or theme parks are examples for our
big number of entertainment possibilities.
But even
so we have reality TV and I would say this is just trimmed version of the past
and the future.
Although
in our real TV shows none of the people kill each other it is very bad. They maybe
don’t lose their life, but they lose something else which is very important:
their image and even worse their dignity! Just like the “Jungle Camp”. There
some celebtrties (that aren’t popular and famous anymore) go into a jungle camp
and have to do special tasks, for example eat very disgusting things (I don’t
want to go amplify
on this).
The only difference
between our TV shows and the gladiators and the Hunger Games is, that in our
world the people do these things more or less voluntarily. But even here the
money plays a big role. None of the b-celebrities would go to the jungle camp if
they hadn’t had money problems and needed the reward.
So what do you think?
Are we so much different from the Hunger Games and the Gladiators?
Do we treat our people much better than the Capitol does?
Think about this!

Old ideas dressed in new clothes?
All of us know the roman gladiator games, which are famous for danger and a bloody, unfair death.
These gladiator- fights are very horrible thinks and no one can realy think of that and their feelings. But we all know how people behave on reality TV, because they tell and show us many things about themselves or their feelings, even if we are not realy interested in that.
But is there a link between reality TV, gladiator games and The Hunger Games? Are these things only old ideas dressed in new clothes ?
In my opinion YES, not at all but a bit. Especially the gladiators can be compaired with the tributes.
Booth of them are choosen and are not in the games becaue they want to, which is because of an unfair power system.
Even if the hunger games play in the future, there are as old weapons as in the middleage, like spears and swords.
An other equal aspect is that only one "player" can survive, which also can be a littlebit compaired with reality TV shows, which only have one winner.
But the main fact is that all of them are to entertain other people.
People who dont care about the ones, they follow on live TV. Still people, who watch reality TV can not at all be copaired with those, who like games, wich kill people.

Entertainment based on watching children suffer
To all the people from the Capitol out there:
Do you really think it is fair to oppress the poor, deprive them of essential rights, make them live with horrible living conditiones, enforce their children to fight against each other and particularly enforce them to kill other kids?!I can't imagine what's going on in the Gamemakers' heads.
How can they be happy while exerting power over people in such a cruel way?
Their sense of entertainment is built upon the fears of kids which were stolen from their families and have to fight for their lives now.
I know the audience wants to see drama and expects a good show. You love to delight in other people's sorrow. Do you?
You are pretty thrilled when a little weak girl can't defend herself and has to die painfully alone in the woods, far away from her mother. Am I right?
I want you to ask yourself if you really think this is human? Does this really agree with you spirit and your morality?
I know the government has a cruel and hierarchical system, but don't you mind that you are ruled over by an all powerful leader probably the rest of your lives? Don't you want to be free?
Of course I know about your wealth and that you don't have to hunt for your food or something like that. Your lives are easy and full of problems which deals with questions like: "Shall I eat caviar or lobster today?", "What shall I wear tomorrow?" or "Shall I sponsor one of the kids in the Hunger Games to watch he or she one day more fighting for life, suffering or finally dying of starvation? I think it would be very amusing :)"
Only the imagination of the audiences' thoughts or rather your thoughts makes me angry as well as sad.
Above I wrote I know how good your lives are, inspite of the hierarchical system. But think about never being completely free in your whole life. There's always someone who has the control over you. You are only a marionette of the government. They influences and enforces you to be unjust, cruel and inhuman.
Do you really want that? I don't think so.
It is not possible to overlook the big inequality between the people in Panem and also between the people in the Hunger Games!
So why you are so spineless out there and why you aren't willed to help us and especially the kids who lose their dignity and finally their lives in the games?
If you think you aren't such a vulgar person who wants to get entertained by watching such a cruel competition, you should do something against it! NOW!
Or do you want even more innocent children who get killed without a convincing reason?
I need your help to draw everybody's attention to the injustice and cruelity of the Hunger Games.
Instead of supporting the show by watching it, help to boycott it!
Do good and make a difference!
Especially out of love to children.
Yours faithfully,
Katniss Everdeen, The Girl on Fire
You are the murderer!!!
This is for the audience, for all the people who watch the Hunger Games regularly and are really excited about it:
In the Hunger Games people die. Our children die and we can do nothing against it.
Do you want your children in the Games?
Do you want to watch them dying?
And even bet about their lifes?
Because this is exactly what you are doing during the Games. You cheer for little boys and girls to kill each other. You bet about whose life will be the longest. You want to be entertained, you want to have emotions, drama and brutal kills. You talk about it, you laugh about it, you addict it. It has to be more exciting, more special, more terrible so that you have something you really enjoy.
Therefore little children die. You want them to die. You are the murderer of all the tributes.
If you don't watch the Games, there won't be Games anymore.
If you raise your voice against it our children could live.
It's your fault, and your duty to change it!
Come on, get involved!
And save the lifes of so many innocent people. Save us, save the humanity, save the dignity of all us human beings.
It's your chance and your duty to destroy this unhuman cruelty!!!
Save the world!!!
May the stupid odds be ever in your favour,
Katniss Everdeen

From gladiators through reality TV to the Hunger Games- old ideas in new clothes ???
Yes, I think it is true. In both games, people have to fight for their life and they aren't there, because they want to be there. The show entertains people and it is a great evening program for them.
These fighters, the gladiators and the tributes, haven't any power or regard in the society and both are nearly
treated like animals. The people with more power (the gamemakers) do what they want to do with them and this is very sad. The games aren't also very fair, because the gladiators have to fight against animals, for example lions, with much more strength. All the tributes also haven't the same power, there is for example the small and weak Rue and the strong and big Cato, with much more experiences. It think it is sure who would survive if they would meet in the woods. The people, a few thousands years ago and the people a few years in the future from now fight both for money, glory and a better life.
To sum up, I think the Hunger Games are nearly the same, only in the future and with more technology.
I am interested in what you think about this and I hope that you agree with me.

TEAM PEETA
Why Katniss should choose Peeta
Katniss Everdeen is in a difficult predicament. She has to decide between two boys: Peeta Mellark, the boy who would do everything for her and is with Katniss in the arena, and Gale, her good friend from the seam. To my mind, Katniss definitely should choose Peeta. Honestly, I am influenced by the movie because Peeta looks really better than Gale. But there are more reasons why I would advise her to choose Peeta:
- First I want to say, Peeta is in love with her and he would do everything just for she is fine. At the interviews at the opening ceremony he says he's in love with Katniss and everyone remembered her from this moment on. In addition to that he goes into an alliance with the careers so he can protect her all the time against the careers in the arena.
- Secondly, Katniss learns a lot from him, for example about the bread from different districts or about the right camouflage in the arena. Besides that she learns a lot about life and the important values in it.
- Peeta is very important for Katniss because since the rule change she gets new hope and starts fighting for the victory again. Besides that, her talk with Peeta on the roof influenced her behaviour towards Rue. When the little girl from district 11 dies, Katniss understood what he meant and it comes to a change inside of her.
- First, Katniss is suspicious towards Peeta because she is not sure if he is honest to her and Haymitch all the time. Besides that she is a little bit angry about Peeta because once when she had to be hungry he gave her a bread and so she always had to do a favour to him and thanks him. But from the moment in the arena, when the rule change was announced and Katniss searched after Peeta, they went together and she gave Peeta probs. Actually they were a good team and she risked her life to save his. Katniss couldn't have done that just because she maybe likes the risk or want to have more sponsors, no she likes Peeta and doesn't wanted him to die. In my opinion Katniss likes Peeta a lot, but she doesn't admits it yet. The fact that Peeta is in love with her is quite sure and he would be the best could ever happen to Katniss.

Why Katniss should choose Peeta for her relationship
I list some reasons why Katniss should choose Peeta and not Gale. The most important thing are the feelings which they feel for each other. That is a special connection. Peeta also risks his life for Katniss several times in the book and she risks her, too and Gale wouldn't do this anytime.
Also Peeta is very kind and has good prerequisites to be a good partner/boyfriend, for example: because his family owns a bakery, he doesn't need to be hungry. So Katniss could bring fresh food to her family.
What do you think about this little competition? Let me know :-)

Team Peeta!
5 reasons why Katniss should choose Peeta:
- Katniss and Gale really do like each other but in my opinion they are just too similar. Gale may know everything about Katniss but I think he is more like brother for her and before the reaping Katniss did not even consider to have other feelings for him.
- Peeta did already risk to get hit by his mother to save Katniss' life before he even really got to know her. He is in love with her since the day they met and would do anything to protect her. This is a very big sign for his undying love for her. By disclosing this love in the interview in front of everyone he helped Katniss to get a better image and to be desirable although this is something very personal. In the arena Peeta teams up with the Careers to protect Katniss and saved her life after the tracker jacker attack.
- Besides that I think they would a great couple because Peeta completes Katniss. He has a totally different way of seeing things and is more willing to think in somebody's shoes. Furthermore, I think Peeta is very charming and humorous. Of course Gale is in some way funny, too, but I think Peeta is just funnier and especially more likeable.
- Katniss always compares Peeta with Gale to find reason why she does not like Peeta and to persuade herself that she does not have feelings for him. But since she felt that betrayed just because of his separated coaching she has to have a deeper connection to him.
- Because she thinks Peeta is only playing a role in the hunger games Katniss tries to do that by herself . She does not want to allow herself that she falls in love with him because she doesn't want to get hurt or to lose somebody.
I am really interested in
hearing the comments from Team Gale and I think they may have some
very good points for him. However, in my opinion it is Peeta who can
really understand Katniss after the hunger games because he knows
exactly how she feels.
Thank you for reading my
blog entry :)

But when you smile at the ground it ain’t hard to tell
You don’t know
You don’t know you’re beautiful
If only you saw what I can see
You’ll understand why I want you so desperately
Right now I’m looking at you and I can’t believe
You don’t know
You don’t know you’re beautiful
And that’s what makes you beautiful
(My thoughts of what Peeta might be thinking about Katniss)
So our task was to make up our mind about which of the both lover-candidates would match the best with Katniss, if it was on us to decide. Reading the first book of the trilogy I made a clear decision:
TEAM PEETA!
And here’s why
Peeta makes Katniss a real girl. Before she met
him in the games, she was just an emancipated chick that hunted illegally in
the woods to feed her family and does business on a black market with her best
friend, who’s male, Gale. Her actions made her look like a boyish girl to the
ones that didn’t know her better. The baker son’s confession of love makes her
look like a likable, female and somewhat vulnerable woman.
He seems to see what others overlooked all the
time: the unmeant hidden beauty of her being and her actions. Seems like he’s
the only one who noticed Katniss as who she really is: a girl.
His confession is taking influence on Katniss
development by helping her to gain more self-confidence in what she is and what
she is able to do. Peeta has never given up on his love for ‘the girl on fire’
and in that way he teaches her not to give up on what she wants to have back
again: her old life and her family, mainly her sister, in District 12.
What Katniss really does learn from him is to
not accept anything that is done to you or the people you love, even to people
that you don’t know, if it’s morally not right, unfair, terrible or in any way
bad for anyone (or a whole population). With his saying that he doesn’t want to
be just a piece in Panems Games, he sets fire to Katniss injustice-thoughts
about the Capitols government and the Hunger Games. Even if she does not
understand the real meaning of the words in the beginnig, she does when she
becomes aware of the Gamemaker’s cruelty more than ever at Rue’s death. Kids ar
not destined for being killed just for peoples entertainment and Katniss wants
this thing to be over forever so she sets a sign, influenced by Peetas quote,
to show that she’s not accepting what the government is doing namely punishing
kids for things which happened long before they were even born.
Peeta is very important for Katniss because he’s
the only person from District 12 in the arena, the only one who reminds her of
home.
Both have a relation to each other from the
beginning on, at the time they are chosen at the reaping: Peeta of course
because he is in love with this girl, Katniss because she owes her and her
families lifes to him, because of the fact that Peeta gave her bread when she
was about to starve. He gave her new hope when nobody else was able to, being
in charge of her sight of the dandelion who brought new life to the little
girl.
He does what Gale never will be able to do in that kind of way: he
saves her life (not only once) in the arena, protecting the girl he loves by
building an ally with the Careers, knowing she would hate him for doing that.
He does it for making sure that none of the ones being part of the ally will
kill Katniss and that he will be there to protect her from them when it comes
to a fight.
While, at the beginning, Katniss is feeling
nothing but to be in Peeta’s debt, her feelings change over time. She begins to
trust him while they are living together in the Capitol, feels betrayed when he
is bulding an ally with the careers in the arena, what seems that there has
been some kind of friendship between them. Than she becomes aware that she can
win with him as a team, when the rule change is announced. The fact that she
really cares about Peetas health when she finds him covered and injured in the
woods shows that she has some kind of feelings for him, but she does not know
what kind of herself. Risking her own life by going to the feast at the
cornucopia to get the medicine for him, it becomes apparent that there is a
deeper relation between the ‘star-crossed lovers’ than Katniss would ever
admit.
In my opinion Katniss should choose Peeta
because he’s the one she could always count on in her life. He is there for her
all the time in the arena, keeping her grounded. Even if she has never payed
attention to him until the reaping, he still sticks by her whatever horror they
have to face.
For though there are so much reasons for Katniss to choose Gale (knows
her for years, takes care of her family while she’s away, hunts with her in the
woods,…), Peeta is the one who’s been there when nobody else was, taking care
of HER. So she should keep Gale as best friend or a kind of brother and take
the bakers son as boyfriend. I'm very interested in hearing your opinion of who Katniss should choose and why. Just leave your comment! :-)
Thats what Peeta could say:
"Move on. It's just a chapter in the past. But don't close the book, just turn the page."

Difficult Desicion
Katniss is torn between two guys.
On the one hand, there's Gale, her best friend since she's little. Katniss and Gale have the same fortune, they live in district 12 with bad living conditions. They hunt together every day to feed their families and also because it's a kind of a hobby for them, which connects the two. I think you can say that Katniss and Gale are something like soulmates, they have the same worries, fears, interests and aims. They know each other better then themselves sometimes. When Gale is around Katniss, she feels so lucky, free and strong. For one moment she forgets all the troubles. Furthermore Prim also loves Gale, because he's like a big brother for her or maybe a kind of father since her real one is dead.
On the other hand, there's Peeta, the boy with the bread. He told Katniss, he fell in love when he saw her the first time. Peeta is a very helpful, clever and romantic boy from district 12. But in contrast to Katniss and Gale, he has a better life with more to eat and less worries. One day, as everybody knows, he gave Katniss a useless bread to save her life. When Katniss and Peeta get chosen to the Hunger Games, first Katniss has to pretend loving Peeta. But during the hard times with big worries, she realizes that she can't stay alive without this boy anymore. First it was only a show, but then feelings develop. She cares of him and he cares of her, they're are a good team. At the end therefore, Katniss and Peeta won the cruel games together.
Who should Katniss choose now?
To my mind, it's a very difficult desicion. Both influenced Katniss charakter and development in some ways. And I think, both would do anything to protect Katniss and save her life. With both she experienced important parts in her life. And obviously for both she has feelings, but maybe different ones.
To come to a conclusion, I think between Katniss and Gale is something, which can't get discribed. Gale was or is Katniss' best and only friend since she's a little girl. During growing up, they learned from each other and learned how survive. She could'nt live without him anymore.
In addition, if there weren't the Hunger Games, Peeta and Katniss had never been in such a relation. They get together, because they had to. They work together, because they had to. So I think, their feelings were built by enforcements and for entertaining the people in front of the tv's.
Consequently, I ask myself the question: "Can these feelings between Katniss and Peeta be real?"
I'm interested in your opinion and were glad if you leave a comment about your personal thoughts of Katniss difficult desicion.
Have a nice evening, SD :)
Team Peeta !
Katniss is torn between two guys - But who should she choose?
In my opinion Katniss should choose Peeta because he really loves her and he would do everything for her. Before he thinks of himself he wants Katniss to be save, for example in the scene where he lets her escape after the attack with the tracker jackers. Without Peeta Katniss would not survive.
Besides Katniss also feels something for Peeta. At the beginning she only plays the role of the girl in love but then her feelings changes. She doesn't want to lose Peeta just about him and not about the sponsors or about what will happen back home. She fell in love with him but she doesn't want to avow this.
For Gale she never had the same feelings. She knows him for years and they are good hunting partners but she only thinks of him as a good friend.
Katniss also risks her life for Peeta when she goes to the feast what shows how important Peeta for Katniss is. She wants him to survive and she does everything for Peeta's recovery.
"Well, there is this one girl. I've had a crush on her ever since I can remember. But I'm pretty sure she didn't know I was alive until the reaping."

Who is the best for Katniss? Peeta vs. Gale
I think Katniss should choose Gale because they have been good friends for many years and they always trust each other. Even if it´s not really mentioned in the book I think that Katniss often asks herself what Gale would do in her case and it helps her even if Gale isn´t next to her.
Katniss has learned many things from Gale, especially how to lay out snares or how to hunt better, so she is much more closer to Gale.
In my opinion Peeta isn´t strong enough and if it was necessary to leave District twelve quickly he couldn´t decide where to go and what to do because he had alays a good live and enough to eat so even after the Gaes he wouldn´t be able to survive in the nature. Gale knows much about how to come out in the woods so Katniss would have a great life with him.

Who´s Mr. Right?
Peeta or Gale?
I think that Mr. Right for Katniss is Gale! Because...- He is like a brother to her and so they knows a lot of the other. I think that a relationship hold much longer when both are very good friends!
- He share the same hobby: Hunting. -> The lovers must have commonalities!
- He can protect Katniss, because he is very strong, masculine and Wouldn´t you save "your sisters" life??
So in my mind Peeta is not Mr. Right for Katniss!
But I also be interested hearing in your opinion ;)
CU AKR
Team Peeta
In my opininon Katniss should choose Peeta for a relationship, because he really cares about her.
He even risked his life for her and saved her life a couple of times.
She likes him very much, you can see that at the part when they were in the arena and hadn't to pretend their relationship anymore, she even kissed him.
Peeta is very kind and he has a very good trained body for someone who lives in District 12.
Katniss future would be easier to handle, because he can bake bread and isn't that poor.
Who is the better boyfriend for Katniss?
Peeta or Gale?
... Katniss knows Gale since many years. They grew up together in district 12 and became very good friends and maybe more.
...Gale is the only person with whom she can be herself. She can talk with Gale about serious topics and issues for example about the Hunger Games and the Capitol.
...in the book there was always a connection between Gale and Katniss, which was not only a friendship.
...they are totally honest to each other and trust each other.
→ Of course, Peeta also has good characteristics but Gale is the better one, because he knows more about Katniss and knows what she need.
Team Peeta!!!
In my case I would choose Peeta because he really loves Katniss and takes care for her.
After the first capital I obviously was for Gale because he and Katniss are best friends. She understood his feelings and thoughts about the Hunger Games and they had a lot of fun by hunting in the forest.
But it seems like Peeta loves her too and would do everything for her. He protected Katniss in the arena insofar he got together with the other tributes from district 1 and 2 to keep them away from Katniss. That boy would risc his own life for Katniss. Not every boy would do this and I'm not sure if Gale will do this too. That's an important point why Katniss should choose Peeta. I think she loves Peeta more than Gale because she would rather die as win the Hunger Games without him!

Peeta vs. Gale Who should Katniss choose?
While reading the book, especially the girls split their opinion about they belong to " Team Peeta" or "Team Gale". Of course both of them could be great as Katniss boyfriend but in my opinion Gale is the one, she should choose.
I think, Katniss and Gale would be a very good team because they knew each other for years and have been great hunting-partners.
Even if they had not have a real relationship, they belong to each other since the beginning of the book.
Also Ketniss have not been interested in Peeta until he did not told her his feelings, which is another reason why Gale is the right one for " the girl on fire".
Finally Gale wants to protect her and looks after his family all the time. Whith him Katniss would be save because he is very strong and muscular, which makes him to a good hunter.
Because of this facts I am very interestet in which guy Katniss will choose at the end.

The better boyfriend for Katniss? Obviously Gale!!
5 reasons why Katniss should choose Gale as her boyfriend:
1. They have known each other for years and Gale knows what she likes and dislikes and how she feels about living in District 12. They both know how hard it is to live there and they
shared their food and tried to help keeping the otherone´s family alive.
2. Gale truly loves her and through all of the books he would risk his own life or even die for her
her in every single moment. He would never let her alone and I think if it had been possible,
he had volunteered for her like she had for Prim.
3. They have the same living standards - not like her and Peeta - and they have the same
hobbies and can talk honest wihout hiding feelings from each other.
4. It´s an honest relationship, not one created from the Capitol!!!!
5. Katniss ALWAYS wondered if Gale could be more than a "brother" to her, and even when
she kissed Peeta she thought of Gale, so this is why a relantionship between Katniss and
never would work or have a future.
I know that there are different opinions and I would be very interested in hearing other. So, looking forward to hear some more inspirations soon,
CD.
