10 reasons why I would not want to live in Panem

1. There is an unjust distribution of wealth. The people in the Capitol have more than they need. They have enough to eat and all technological advancements. Compared to the Capitol the people in the districts have nothing. They have to live from hand to mouth and do not know if they will survive the next month.

2. There is an all-powerful and cruel leader. He can enforce certain rules and the people can not do anything against it.

3. Every year there are the Hunger Games. You have to be afraid of being one of the tributes or your children will become one. You do not have the guarantee to stay alive.

4. You can not say what you want. The Capitol has total control and supervision over the people and for every wrong word against the Capitol they can kill you.

5. You have to work hard to stay alive. Nevertheless the money is not enough to feed your whole family. You also risk your life at work and you can become ill.

6. You have no good future prospects and no chance to live your dreams. You can not get a good-paid job if you are born in the poor districts.

7. You are not free because you have to stay in your district. There is no chance to make some beautiful journeys and to see different places. You are imprisoned in Panem.

8. Most of the children have no childhood because they have to work hard to get money for their family. They also have to risk their life when they have no other chance to earn money than to do things which are not allowed like Katniss does.

9. The people are deprived of their human rights. They have no freedom of speach or no right to vote.

10. The people can not change anything because if they rebel they will be dead. Therefore there is no chance to get out of this system.
