The book everyone should read:
When I heard that we will read the Hunger Games in English, I was very exited. I was a big fan of Katniss and her story anyway, because I've already read the three books in German. According to this reading wasn't very difficult and altough our English teacher made such a nice vocabulary collection I never took a look at it. Sorry ;) ! After I`ve finished the book I was so thrilled that I borrowed the second book right away.
I really like how the relationship between Katniss and Peeta changed during the Games. Most of the time Katniss doesn't know how she should define her feelings towards Peeta but I think the eloquent, soft, humorous and handsome boy will finally manage to win her heart.
Besides all the praises I think it is important to mention that the first impression of the book is maybe not that good. The idea that 24 teenager are forced to kill each other is a bit drastic, but these doubts are unfounded.
The book doesn't gloryfy violence but criticizes fascistic regimes!
This topic is also a thing I would like to talk about in class because I'm interrested to hear other opinions and because I've been thinking about this problem from the moment I started reading the book.
